REOPENING PLAN FOR LIFECONNECTION NORTHEAST.
We will reopen our Sunday services on June 21st. Please read below for more information.
If you want to join us please REGISTER to secure your spot as we will only be able to accommodate 75 people (adults and children) in this one service.
_____________________
While we are grateful to the Lord for the technology to stay connected digitally, we are excited to resume in-person gatherings.
But first, just because we have a plan, please know that if you are not ready to rejoin the in-person worship gathering then you are not pressured or obligated to do so. We don’t want to operate out of a spirit of fear, yet we also want you to feel safe. We are working on a way to continue streaming from our building here in the Northeast.
So, if you are not ready to meet again, are in a high-risk category, or are experiencing ANY symptoms of sickness…then you should stay home and worship through the live-stream.
PLAN TO REOPEN
Phase 1 (Now–June 20): Gather in small groups for worship at home.
We encourage you to invite people from your Gospel Community, friends, or neighbors to join you in your home for worship. Originally the date for this was June 7th. Yet, we see no reason you should wait until then.
Phase 2 (June 21–TBD): Gather for in-person corporate worship at the building. (please REGISTER)
We will have ONE service on Sunday morning at 9:00 am. We are all able to meet in the building together and still follow the restrictions of KCMO and social-distancing guidelines. We will not have KidsCo, though.
I know there are a lot of families with young children and the fear is that they will be disruptive during the service. That’s a real possibility. However, the church is a family and we are all working through this interesting time together. So, we will adapt to engage our youngest attenders as best as possible. Our worship gathering will be 50–55 minutes long to accommodate families worshiping together. And, in order to serve parents, we will have activity packets for children. We will also try to have speakers in the back rooms, in case you need to take your children to a separate space.
I want to encourage you to not split your family up out of fear of disruptive behavior. However, I fully understand if you disagree and make a decision that you feel is best for your family.
Lastly, we will take the appropriate precautions to accommodate social distancing, sanitation, and so forth. We are sectioning off pews, placing sanitizer throughout the building, and strongly encouraging any attenders to wear a mask while in the building.
Phase 3 (TBD): The new normal will commence in light of local guidelines.
This will include reopening KidsCo and other on-site ministry activities.
We know there are a lot of strong opinions and concerns surrounding the conversation of reopening in our culture. We have aimed to develop a plan that, based on the information we know, will honor God, care for the most vulnerable among us, and exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know there are likely details here that run contrary to your opinion and personal preference. However, this is an opportunity to display the power and reality of the gospel together—by putting aside our differences and preferences in the name of unity and love.
As always, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to let me know. You can send me an email or private message via FB.
Thank you and God Bless,
Chris Seay | Pastor
